I’m proud to be an alumnus of the Bachelor of Pharmacy (Honours) programme at UniSZA. The curriculum combined a strong scientific foundation with practical clinical experience, while supportive lecturers and well-equipped labs helped me develop confident professional skills. Extending attachment periods and increasing clinical-related teaching during the preclinical years would further ease the transition into clinical rotations and accelerate readiness for patient-care roles. I found industry exposure limited compared with community and clinical placements, greater industry engagement and internships would help students explore careers beyond traditional pharmacy settings. The programme’s emphasis on patient-centred care and research prepared me well for a career in community and hospital pharmacy, and the industry connections made through placements opened doors to meaningful job opportunities. I highly recommend UniSZA’s Pharmacy programme to anyone seeking a rigorous, caring, and career-focused education.
